LEED Pilot Credit

LEED Pilot Credit for Bird-Strike Deterrence

American Bird Conservancy email summary (2/22/18): This is a summary provided by the Green Building Council last September.  287 projects have indicated that they plan to use the credit as one of the credits for their LEED rating. GBC is not permitted to provide details on what these projects are – that is confidential information and there is no simple way even to ask if those projects would be willing to talk with us. Unfortunately, as you can see below, they know how many completed projects have submitted their paperwork for the credit, but they don’t distinguish between awarded, pending and denied. Buildings I know got the credit are below. I know of several others in the planning stage – I generally only know about projects if they ask for help selecting materials or parsing the credit (hence the zoos). if you know of others, please let me know and we’ll post the list on the ABC collisions site!
